Important Enrollment Timing Notice!
Applications to attend or extend Puppy Day School must be submitted at least 2 business days in advance.
We do not process applications on weekends, or evenings and response times may be delayed. Please plan ahead.
What Is Wise Puppy Day School?

Wise Puppy Day School gives your puppy the perfect start with expert training, socialization, and play in a fun, structured environment. Led by Leslie Joanisse, Certified Puppy Start Right Instructor and responsible breeder with over 20 years of experience, this program is designed for large breed puppies under 6 months and small breed puppies under 8 months.
Puppies attend two mornings per week, building confidence and essential life skills in small groups of no more than six puppies for personalized attention.
Age & Health Requirements
Large breed puppies under 6 months of age
Small breed puppies under 8 months of age
We may consider older puppies depending on their size and temperament
Puppies can join 7 to 14 days after their first DAPP vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)and must stay current with all recommended puppy vaccinations
Puppies showing signs of illness must stay home
Puppies who have been sick with Parvo must wait 28 days after they have fully recovered before attending
What's Included
Life Skills – Foundation training including attention, engagement, not jumping up, and settling.
Body Handling – Gentle exposure to handling of feet, teeth, ears, tail, and other areas to ensure comfort with grooming and handling.
Puppy Play – Carefully moderated play sessions to build confidence and ensure positive social experiences with other puppies. Our playgroups are not free-for-alls; we ensure all puppies feel safe.
Surfaces & Obstacles – Fun challenges such as walking over ladders, ramps, tarps, tunnels, and more to improve coordination and problem-solving skills.
Exposure – Controlled introductions to people, sounds, and moving objects to reduce fear and build adaptability.
Problem Solving & Coordination – Interactive games and exercises designed to enhance your puppy’s cognitive and motor skills.
Social Outings – Weather permitting, we will occassionally take puppies on outings to expose them to new places, people, sights, and sounds.
Pricing
Drop-In: $60
2 Weeks: $220
3 Weeks: $330
4 Weeks: $410 ($30 Savings)
Pick-Up & Drop-Off : $10 per one-way trip - $20 for both ways (within city limits, must be between Crestview and Copper Ridge)

Puppy Start Right Classes – Our 'start anytime' classes provide essential training and socialization for large breed puppies under 4 months and small breed puppies under 6 months, ensuring they build confidence and good habits during their critical development period. With open enrollment, you can start anytime and attend for four weeks, giving your puppy the perfect foundation for a well-adjusted, happy life.
Puppy Social Play Groups – Safe, supervised play sessions where puppies can develop social skills, learn appropriate play behavior, and build confidence around other dogs. Led by experienced trainers, these sessions provide positive early socialization experiences in a controlled setting.
Basic Manners Class - For older puppies who need to learn the basics. Learn foundation skills and behaviors that you and your dog need to achieve a life time of successful learning including focus, targeting, recalls, leave-it, polite walking and settle.
