If any of these catch your eye, please select them to be added to the wait-list. If there's enough interest in a particular class, we'll schedule it and notify you first.

Proper socialization is extremely important for puppies under 16 weeks of age. Studies show that positive exposure to puppies, people, handling, novel items and sounds can prevent behavior concerns. Unfortunately, getting your puppy into a socialization class at the right time can be a challenge.
About Continuous Enrollment: Puppies under 16 weeks of age start class right away (depending on availability), and attend for at least for weeks (or longer if you choose). This customized approach ensures that your puppy experiences positive socialization when they need it. Once puppies complete Puppy Start Right, they are eligible to move into Basic Manners Classes.
Basic Manners Class is for older puppies, teens and adult dogs who need to learn the basics. Learn foundation skills and behaviors that you and your dog need to achieve a life time of successful learning including focus, targeting, recalls, leave-it, polite walking and settle. You will learn how to observe and reinforce desirable behaviors, and build a bond based on fun and reinforcement. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Includes a clicker and emailed homework. For all dogs over 4 months of age. Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and people in order to attend.
Ready to take your training to the next level? Expand on your foundation skills with distractions and games to help build your dog's confidence in new situations. Your dog will learn how to respond to requests with distractions nearby, and look to you for guidance in new situations. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Includes emailed homework. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners. If you've completed basic classes with another trainer, contact us to discuss suitability.
Congratulations, skilled dog handlers! If you've completed Level 2 Manners, continue your training journey through interactive training games. We have curated challenging and fun games that will elevate your training skills, and leave both you and your dog excited for every class. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 2 Manners.

Take your training on the road, and practice your skills in the real world, with real distractions. Learn to be aware of your surroundings and keep your dog focused around people, dogs, bikers, joggers and other common distractions. 4 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Includes emailed homework.

Develop enthusiastic recalls, working at a level that's appropriate for your dog. Learn the 'Five Rules of Recall' to build a solid recall. Build awareness of your surroundings so you can respond proactively. Determine your dog's unique motivators to build fast recall skills around common distractions. 3 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Includes emailed homework.
Important Requirements: Dogs must have completed Basic Manners. This is an active class. Dogs and owners must be physically fit and able to run. Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and people.
Does your dog greet guests with too much enthusiasm, leaving muddy paw prints on their clothes or even knocking people over? In this class, we'll teach your dog the art of polite greetings using positive reinforcement techniques. Say goodbye to jumping and hello to keeping all four paws firmly planted on the floor when meeting new people. 3 classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners and be friendly with other dogs and people.
Turn leash walking into a joyful and rewarding experience for you and your dog! Transform your dog's walking manners from a frustrating tug-of-war into a harmonious and enjoyable stroll. By using positive reinforcement techniques, and engaging games, we will encourage your dog to learn the art of loose leash walking while building a strong bond. 4 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners.
Designed to equip handlers and their dogs with the essential skills and knowledge needed to become a successful therapy dog team. Teams will learn about the role and ideal traits of therapy dogs, handler expectations, understanding canine body language, and preparation for Therapy Dog Certification Testing. Training activities will include manners during therapy visits, greeting and handling by strangers, calmness around distractions, noises, novel objects, and other dogs. 6 Classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. First class is people only (no dogs). Dogs must be over one year of age, must have completed Level 2 Manners, and be friendly with dogs and people.
The Canadian Kennel Club’s Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) Program is a 12-step test, that when completed successfully, will earn a Certificate noting that the dog presents good manners at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. A CGN Certificate is required by the City of Whitehorse when applying for a 3rd dog. This class will prepare you to complete the evaluation, and is helpful for continuing to develop good manners in everyday situations. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 2 Manners.

In this class, you'll teach your dog a variety entertaining tricks while building a strong bond and mutual trust. Using the clicker training method, we'll emphasize clear communication and reward-based techniques to make learning a breeze. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners and be friendly with other dogs and people.
Looking to sharpen your dog's skills for Rally Obedience or Competition Obedience? This class is all about fine-tuning those key positions and movements that set your team apart. Through the use of props and targeted exercises, we'll teach your dog how to perform tight turns during heeling, achieve straight sits in heel position, back up with precision, execute go outs, and more. Whether you're preparing for competition or simply want to enhance your dog's skills, this class will help you build the accuracy and control needed for success. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 2 Manners.

Building on the foundations established in Intro Freestyle, this course focuses on refining and expanding your dog’s repertoire of moves and choreography. You'll learn more complex sequences, improve synchronization with your dog, and explore creative ways to express your unique style as a team. Deepen your connection with your dog through this expressive sport, Level 2 offers the perfect environment to enhance your freestyle skills and creativity. Dogs must have completed Intro Freestyle.
You'll learn how to safely guide your dog through a variety of obstacles found in everyday environments—such as jumping over benches, weaving through trees, balancing on walls, and more. Canine Parkour is a fantastic way to build your dog’s confidence, enhance their physical fitness, and strengthen your bond as a team. Whether you’re looking for a new challenge or just want to add some variety to your dog’s routine, this class offers a perfect blend of physical activity and mental stimulation in a supportive and creative environment. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners.
Put your dog's incredible nose to work while building confidence, and providing healthy mental exercise. Inspired by working drug and bomb detection dogs, Nosework is the fun search activity for all dogs. It burns mental energy, reduces stress and anxiety, increases focus, and builds confidence. 4 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs. Includes a Birch Scent Kit and emailed homework.
For teams who have completed Introduction to Nosework with Wise Canine, are confidently searching for Birch Odor in containers, and are ready for new challenges. Take your searches to a new level by introducing more challenging interior and container searches. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Introduction to Nosework and be able to search for Birch Odor in containers.
For teams who have completed Level 2 Nosework and are confidently searching for Birch in containers and interiors. Take your searches to a new level, by adding new odours (Anise and Clove) and searching for multiple odors in one search. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 2 Nosework with Wise Canine and be able to search for Birch in containers and interiors.
For teams who have successfully completed Nosework Level 3 and are ready to elevate their scent detection skills. Strengthen your dog's focus as they learn to focus on searching in the face of real-world distractions including food, toys, sounds, dog odors and movement. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs.
Dogs must have completed Level 3 Nosework.
For teams who have completed Level 2 Nosework with Wise Canine, and are confidently searching for Birch Odor. More advanced teams are also welcome. Whether you're new to vehicles and exteriors, or you're looking to practice before the UKC Nosework Trial, we'll adjust searches to suite each individual team. Maximum of 6 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 2 Nosework and be able to search for Birch Odor in containers.
These practices includes challenging search set-ups incorporating distractions. Class may take place indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. Maximum of 6 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Level 3 Nosework and be able to search for Birch, Anise & Clove.
For teams who have completed Nosework Level 2 or 3 who want to develop clear, easy to read alert behaviors. This course will go back to basics to ensure that you're reinforcing clear alerts instead of vague alerts. This is an indoor class. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs.
For teams who have completed Feisty Fido or Calm & Focused Class and need. Enjoy a safe environment set up for sensitive dogs who need additional space. Help your dog continue to build confidence and positive associations with activities involving other dogs. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 5 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Feisty Fido or Calm & Focused with Wise Canine.
For dogs struggling with reactivity or aggression towards dogs and other triggers, this class uses compassionate, science-backed behavior modification techniques. We'll replace undesirable behaviors like barking, lunging, or snapping with positive, calm, focused behavior. Discover how to identify and interpret your dog's body language and triggers and manage challenging situations confidently. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 4 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners or Private Lessons.
Has your dog completed our Feisty Fido Class and shown promising progress? In this class, we continue to work on creating calmer, focused behaviors, and reducing stress. With a focus on building confidence around fellow dogs and other triggers, we provide a secure environment for your dogs to thrive. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 5 Dogs. Dogs must have completed Feisty Fido.
Is your dog shy or fearful around unfamiliar people? Do they tend to avoid or shy away when approached by strangers? Our Stranger Danger class is designed specifically for dogs who need help building confidence around new people. In this course, we'll work on gradually transforming your dog's fear into confidence by creating positive associations with strangers. Using positive reinforcement, we'll guide your dog at a pace that's comfortable for them, ensuring a stress-free and supportive environment. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs. If you're new to training with Wise Canine, we may ask some questions to determine suitability.
We have two versions of this class. Calm & Focused for Teenage Dogs is for adolescent dogs under the age of 2. Calm & Focused for Adult Dogs is for dogs over 2 years of age. This class is a good fit for dogs who have 'big feelings', who may be over-excited, highly distracted, worried, lacking confidence, or mildly reactive. We will use pattern games to help your dog acclimate, cope, relax and focus on you. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Basic Manners or Private Lessons are required prior to joining this class.
Reduce your dog's fear, anxiety and stress during grooming, veterinary exams and husbandry at home. We will teach you how to prevent and alleviate stress using Fear Free protocols. The last class includes a visit to All Paws Veterinary Clinic for a positive and successful veterinary clinic visit for you and your dog, while putting your new skills into practice. 6 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 dogs. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners.
A relationship building, introductory class for dogs who have a desire to, or history of, chasing or becoming overly excited/aroused around wildlife. Learn force free, reinforcement based strategies to channel your dog's natural instincts in a safe and rewarding manner. Instead of fighting your dog's natural urges, your dog will learn to see you as a partner when wildlife are near. 5 weekly classes. Maximum of 6 Dogs. This course is not applicable for addressing chasing of bicycles, joggers, dogs, children, other pets or farm animals. Dogs must have completed Basic Manners.
