Fear, Reactivity & Aggression

Imagine a dog who feels safe, relaxed, and connected with you.

Turn Stress Into Confidence

We know firsthand how overwhelming it can be when your dog struggles with fear, anxiety, reactivity, or aggression.

You love your dog, but their behavior can be upsetting, confusing, and stressful. Friends, neighbors, and endless online advice often add more questions than answers.

At Wise Canine, we help you and your dog regain calm, confidence, and connection. Our behavior modification training use compassionate, science-based strategies to address the root causes of complex behavior concerns.

Whether your dog shows fear of people, other dogs, handling, or new environments—or exhibits reactive behaviors like barking, lunging, growling, snapping or biting—we create a program that meets your dog’s specific needs. Together, we’ll help your dog feel more confident, reduce stress, and expand their world.

With a focus on understanding and addressing the root causes of behavior issues, we are dedicated to helping you and your dog navigate challenges and thrive together. Watch this video if you're trying to decide whether Wise Canine is a good fit for you.

Private Coaching

When a dog has significant behavior concerns, Private Coaching is often the most effective way to start. Working one-on-one allows us to focus entirely on your dog’s needs and your goals, giving you the tools to handle challenges confidently.

Why Choose Private Coaching:

  • Personalized attention in a safe, comfortable environment.

  • Training tailored to you and your dog.

  • Perfect if your schedule doesn’t fit group classes.

  • Available in-home, at our training facility, or outdoors.

  • Lessons in country locations beyond Robert Service Way or Crestview may require meeting in town.

Day Training

For some dogs, Day Training can be an excellent option. We’ll come to your home to work with your dog while you’re at work or running errands, then schedule private lessons to ensure the training is reinforced. This program is ideal if you want your dog to make real progress while minimizing stress for both of you.

Group Classes

We do offer group classes for dogs with behavior concerns, but these classes are carefully structured. A group setting works best when your dog already has a relationship with us, via private lessons or previous classes, ensuring safety and success for every dog.

Our specialized classes include:

  • Feisty Fido – For dogs reactive to other dogs

  • Stranger Danger – For dogs fearful of people

  • Calm & Focused – For young dogs needing confidence, focus, or settling skills
